Back of Hair Trouble

posted Jun 05, 2010 07:08:12 by OHLEYN
Well, if I lower my head, my hair in the back sticks up. It's really annoying because it looks very bad and I want my hair to look pretty in the back instead of it freezing in midair. Any help?

Just to better understand your question. How short is your hair? Is it straight, curly, coily?

Well, it's at the nape of neck in the back. My mother cut my hair diagonally and it looks really uneven. If I wet my hair, it comes out coarse and curly. I had long hair when I was younger, but once I started to do my own hair, I used the heated products and it started breaking off, especially in the back. It gets really dry and it breaks off. Once she cut it, that problem got worse and it's so fragile in the back. I do co-wash after a few days of washing my scalp, but the back always becomes dry.

Hmmm...I cut my hair a couple of times when I was a teenager in a short bob and the back was really short. I used curl activator to keep the back curly and moisturized. I never had a problem with dryness.
I no longer use curl activator but I know alot of people swear by Care free curl gold activator or s-curl. Those products are anything but drying.
